Financial Options for Seminary Study Programs The options listed below enable individuals to participate in Seminary courses at various levels of commitment, study and experience. The prices are adjusted according to the level of involvement. In each case, offerings are through learning groups that meet for the study of specific topics in the curriculum. A learning group generally meets for two hours weekly over a ten-week period. Total class, study, and related ministry time is approximately 100 hours per offering. When compared to graduate studies, one learning group offering is somewhat similar to two or three semester hours of graduate credit. Friendship Scholarship: Friends of Graduate Level, Professional Development Level, or Professional Enrichment Level full-time or part-time students may take one offering at the Personal Enrichment Level at no charge. 1. Graduate Level, Student Ministry Associates, Full-time, Degree SeekingThe costs for full-time studies are described here as they relate to taking a cluster of four offerings at a designated time period. Full-time is about the same as eight to twelve semester hours of graduate credit.

2. Graduate Level, Part-time, Degree SeekingThe costs for part-time studies are described here as they relate to taking a single offering which originates at Spanish River Church and is transcripted by Reformed Theological Seminary.
3. Graduate Level, Portfolio DirectAssessment of prior learning can be accounted for by means of meeting portfolio competencies. A $110 administrative fee is charged for the application of each learning group offering or credit course equivalency. 4. Professional Development Level, Certificate SeekingIndividuals may take courses at an advanced level that is not for graduate equivalency; instead, Professional Development Units are awarded. Participants are to invest five to eight hours per week in preparation.
5. Personal Enrichment Level, Certificate SeekingIndividuals may take courses for personal development. At this level Personal Enrichment Certificates are awarded. Participants invest two or five hours aweek in preparation.
